RF Controls’ Intelligent Tracking and Control System (ITCS®) is a standards compliant, advanced automatic data capture system, which provides real-time location system (RTLS) functionality, using only passive ultra high frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) tags to identify, locate and track items.
ITCS reads standards-compliant passive UHF tags, such as those which are compliant with the US DoD Passive RFID Policy (2004) and extensively employed by the world’s leading retailers and their suppliers. Using just a single, bidirectional “smart antenna”, ITCS accurately locates tagged items in three dimensions (3D), and tracks the movement of items, materiel, inventory and assets, at exceptionally long operating ranges. Multiple antennas are networked together to cover an area or volume in which tagged items are present. ITCS solves the fundamental business process problem of automatically and accurately locating arbitrarily located tagged items, which is crucial to efficient inventory and asset management.
