ITCS Deployed by TASC to Achieve Automated Inventory Visibility in Navy Supply Chain
Working with TASC as prime contractor, RF Controls’ implemented ITCS to achieve automated inventory visibility in the US Navy’s supply chain operations. The complex installation was performed at the Navy supply depot NAVTECHEOD, in Indian Head, MD. Software developed by TASC integrates tag ID and location data from ITCS with the inventory management system of record utilized at NAVTECHEOD, granting automated knowledge of inventory location in real-time. ITCS Certified RoHS and CE Compliant
RF Controls’ has self-certified that ITCS-A-1xx SASLs are compliant with the stringent European regulations concerning the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances (RoHS) in electrical and electronic equipment. This is in addition to meeting all requirements for CE, which means that ITCS is ready for deployments in Europe. Click here here to read the press release.
RF Controls Achieves Breakthrough in Accurate 3D Tag Location Using a Single Antenna
RF Controls has achieved a further performance breakthrough with its standards-based Intelligent Tracking and Control System (ITCS®). Now, with just a single ITCS Signal Acquisition and Source Location (SASL®) “smart antenna” module, you can locate and track tagged items in 3D, with a ranging accuracy of better than 1’ (30cm). New Smart Antenna Products Released; FCC Type Approval Granted, ETSI Compliance Achieved
Two new high performance bidirectional electronically steerable phased array (BESPA™) antennas, which are core components of our Intelligent Tracking and Control System (ITCS®), have been released. An amended version of the already approved, field proven A-100, plus the new A-102 and A-104 antennas, have all achieved compliance with FCC CFR 47 Part 15.247 emission standards. All ITCS-A-1xx antennas have also been proven compliant with ETSI EN 302 208. The augmented range of antenna profiles enhance the flexibility of deploying ITCS in different environments. Industry Analysts RW Baird Provide an Analysis of ITCS
In the December 2008 issue of “Supply Chain Technology – RFID Monthly”, composed by respected industry analyst Reik Read of RW Baird, Read provides an objective commentary on ITCS. Read concludes his commentary by stating “We view the ability to scan specific zones as a key attribute that can help locate missing items, provide real-time out of stock information, improve pick processes and can aid in inventory transfers, all in real-time.” Click here to view and download the free report.
